After specializing in general surgery in 1994 at the Université de Montréal, Dr. Dubé subspecialized in surgical oncology at the Institut Gustave Roussy in France. During this training, he completed a degree in clinical carcinology at the University of Paris XI. He has been working as a surgical oncologist at the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital since 1997. His interests, both in clinical practice and in research, focus on peritoneal carcinoma (a rare form of cancer of the abdominal cavity) and breast cancer. In recent years, he has been actively involved in the training of future surgeons and since 2014, is the Director of the General Surgery Program at the Université de Montreal and Director of Clinical Research for the CIUSSS de l’Est-de-l’Ile-de-Montréal.

Dr. Dubé is a member of the following academic societies: Associate of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Associate of the American College of Surgeons, Certified by the American College of Surgeons, Member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and Member of the Canadian Association of General Surgeons.

With more than sixty publications published in peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Dubé has also given over 80 presentations at both national and international conferences.
