15 member institutions across Quebec and Ontario

Our breast cancer clinical research consortium continues to grow and evolve. Originally launched to bring together Quebec hospitals treating breast cancer and to expand their clinical research capacity, the network now includes 15 member institutions across Quebec and Ontario.

To the four founding Quebec members, we’ve welcomed 11 new institutions:

  • 9 in Quebec, including several in regional areas—demonstrating our commitment to extending the Group’s presence across the province by partnering with CISSS and CIUSSS organizations in each region.
  • 2 in Ontario—broadening patient access to breast cancer clinical trials nationwide and fostering interprovincial collaboration among researchers.

Dr. Jamil Asselah, Chair of the Group’s Scientific Committee and Medical Oncologist at the McGill University Health Centre, underscores the significance of this expansion:

“With the addition of two Ontario members—The Ottawa Hospital and the Sunnybrook Research Institute —we are reaching an important milestone in building a strong network that unites clinical and scientific excellence from coast to coast.”

This growing and diverse collaboration enhances our capacity to innovate and deliver high-quality clinical research. By promoting the exchange of expertise, advancing new therapeutic strategies, and accelerating the implementation of innovative treatments, we are improving outcomes for patients across Canada.
