The Group gives a recognition plaque to the Montréal West Island CIUSSS – St-Mary’s Hospital Centre

On November 20th, the McPeak-Sirois Group highlighted the commitment of the Montréal West Island CIUSSS – St-Mary’s Hospital Centre as an affiliated member of the Group during the unveiling ceremony of a recognition plaque.

The general management of the institution, represented by Ms. Najia Hachimi-Idrissi, Associate President and CEO and Dr. Ari Meguerditchian, Scientific Director of the St. Mary Research Centre, praised the participation of the Montréal West Island CIUSSS – St-Mary’s Hospital Center to the Group.

As Dr. Meguerditchian underlined, “Clinical research is essential. It allows us to offer patients innovative alternatives to the treatments that are traditionally offered. By taking part in this research consortium, we allow our patients to have better access to breast cancer research trials. »

Dr. Meguerditchian also highlighted the involvement of Dr. Khashayar Esfahani and Dr. Nick Meti, both medical oncologists at the Montréal West Island CIUSSS – St. Mary’s Research Centre and members of the Group’s Scientific Committee. Dr. Adrian Langleben, medical oncologist, also participated in this ceremony which brought together several collaborators from the Research Centre.

For their part, co-founders Susan McPeak and Charles Sirois took the opportunity to remind everyone that the Group, by joining the forces of its eleven member hospitals, brings real benefits to people with breast cancer in Quebec.
